World’s largest airport commercial lounge opens in Hong Kong

If you can’t afford to travel Business Class in the air perhaps you might like to pay to enjoy the luxury of a First Class lounge while waiting to board your Economy Class flight at the airport. The new commercial Travelers’ Lounge ‘pay-in lounge’ at Hong Kong International Airport is even offering Halal Food for its guests wanting pre-flight pampering.

Chinese halal market seen as source of rich potential

Thai exporters are being urged to tap into China’s expanding Muslim food market. “China is one of the world’s most eye-catching halal food markets,
as Muslims there total more than 30 million, or 2.3% of China’s
population,” said Srirat Rastapana, director-general of the Export
Promotion Department.

CAFTA open doors for more Malaysian products in China

The full implementation of the China-Asean Free Trade Area (CAFTA) from
Jan 1 this year will allow more products from this country to be

said that meat obtained from non-stunned animals is healthier and has a
longer shelf life.

And non-Halal and stunned meat is highly questionable, quoting a
research conducted by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research on
the same subject.

Brunei, China JV To Invest In Halal Fish Processing

Biomarine Sdn Bhd, a joint venture (JV)
between Bruneian and Chinese companies, will establish a halal
fish-processing facility in the Sultanate once the newly-formed company
has settled in and operations are running smoothly, it was announced
yesterday.
