This is an interesting clip from HalalFood in the UK. They surveyed a sample of 1,000 Muslims in the UK to see their understanding of the definitions of Halal food, as well as consulting some ‘Ulema for their comments and opinions. Informative and nicely presented.
A well presented and rather disturbing bit of investigative journalism about the added ingredients that may be in our chicken products. It is another example of where the interests of the Muslim community and the general public coincide for the common good.
Commissioned by EBLEX, and produced by West Park Media, this project saw West Park Media film across the U.K. and in Spain; on farms, abattoirs and mosques, dealing with the subject of stunning animals in the Muslim religion. The finished film was given out to mosques across the country by EBLEX and in the process, changed English law regarding the stunning of animals.
