IHMC 2009 Brunei – International Speakers to Discuss the Business of Halal

With the IPHE2009 and IHMC2009 in their final stages of organisation the Organisers for the International Halal Market Conference 2009 are now preparing for the arrival of the speakers for the event to arrive this week.

Well respected speakers such as Tan Sri Dato’ Muhammad Ali, Present and Chief Executive of Johor Corporation, and Dr Paul Temporal, a lecturer at Said Business School, Oxford University are among the group of invited international speakers for IHMC2009. Tan Sri Dato’ Muhammad Ali will be speaking on ‘Crisis as a Turning Point for the Halal Industry’, and Dr Paul Temporal will be speaking on ‘Global Islamic Branding and Marketing – The Way Forward’. These topics are key to any business that might have a potential of entering into the Halal marketplace.

On a more local note, Mr Noel Shield, Consultant to Kerry FSDA.based in Hong Kong, will be speaking of the very current topic of ‘Taking the Brunei Halal Brand to the World’ followed by Mr James Jessamine, Master Planner, SQW Consultants, speaking on ‘Developing the Infrastructure for the Halal Industry’ based on the master plan he has prepared for the proposed Brunei Agro Technology Park.

Global Halal standards through IHI Alliance, Halal pharmaceutical guidelines and Turning SME’s into Halal Champions are also topics being discussed during the 4th IHMC2009 to be held in Brunei Darussalam at the International Convention Centre. With sessions for questions to be addressed to the speakers and a final Open Forum to discuss some of the topics presented, this will be an opportunity not to be missed.
