Malaysia: Brahim’s & Nippon Express To Develop Halal logistics

Brahim'sKUALA LUMPUR, June 15 (Bernama) — Brahim’s Holdings Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Nippon Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (NEM) to develop a dedicated transportation service that complies with the requirements of the MS2400-1: 2010 (Halal Logistics).

NEM is part of the Nippon Express Group, an international freight forwarding and global logistics service provider.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the inflight meal provider said the two parties would collaborate and conduct mutual cooperation to ensure the integrity and reliability of the supply chain benchmarking for world class halal logistics services.

“The objective of the agreement is to draw on the parties core competencies to enable Brahim’s to benefit from NEM’s global supply chain for cost efficiencies, reliability and integrity of its supply chain,” it added.
