imagesKUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 (Bernama) — Halal technical competent officers are being created by the Halal International Selangor (HIS) to create trade opportunities in the halal sector, paving the way for the setting up of a single community for the global market.

HIS said in a statement today, the single community was in line with its tagline ‘Single Community, Global Markets’ and Halal Technical Competent Person (HTCP) tagline ‘Creating Wealth, Innovating Career.’ HIS, a subsidiary of Central Spectrum Sdn Bhd, is owned by Aspire Flagship Sdn Bhd (AFSB).

It said that the company had embarked on one of its 10 Halalan Toyyiban Eco-Systems, which is HTCP, under the Human Capital Development Programme.

“HIS is committed towards developing human capital with expertise and knowledge in the Halalan Toyyiban Eco-System which is ensuring the deliverable of halal procedures in business, trade and industries, and that every step of the value chain from farm to fork is halal compliant to further benefit downstream takeholders,” it added.

It said a workshop to kick off the project would prepare the group of experts as qualified HTCP trainers. Appointed trainers who are also the experts will conduct a three-day Train The Trainer (TTT) programme.

The TTT programme will prepare and equip participants with the basic knowledge and requirements on the halal industry and allowing them to conduct in-house Halal related training courses in their premises.

By the end of the day, the TTT will add value to the trainers who will then deliver the the HTCP training programme to the potential Halal practitioners / officers locally and internationally.

It said that it would also ensure the ‘Halalan Toyyiban’ was being continuously practised in trade, industry and services, and eventually achieving the 24/7 Halal assurance practice. — BERNAMA
