TPM Biotech And HDC Enter Into Strategic Partnership To Formulate Halal Laboratory Standards

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 (Bernama) — TPM Biotech Sdn Bhd (TPMB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn Bhd has entered into a strategic partnership with the Halal Industry Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (HDC), to formulate the Halal Laboratory Standard and also a key halal development programme.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked by both companies today with the aim of enhancing scientific understanding at the local and international level.

Among its other roles, the HDC is a company that focuses on development of halal standards, audit and certification as well as capacity building of halal products and services.

In a statement Thursday, TPMB said among the objectives of the strategic partnership is to create a halal entrepreneurship programme which encompasses the development of halal products,a contract development programme and to implement a training programme.

TPMB offers analysis and analytical laboratory services in overcoming key issues related to quality, safety and purity of food and products as well as other consumer products.
