Malaysia: New spa in refurbished store offers beauty treatments

LAUNCHED in 2015, halal-certified Malaysian beauty brand Forest Colour has opened its newly refurbished flagship store at Casuarina@Meru Hotel.

A far cry from its previous look, the store also offers spa treatments for women looking to pamper themselves with massages, facials and more.

The homegrown brand from Perak, known for its aloe vera- and collagen-based cosmetic products, continues its health-conscious theme through the boutique day spa with its use of high quality herbal-based products.

Owned by the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (SADC), its chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Rizal Abdul Rahman said prior to the refurbishment, Forest Colour items were being sold alongside Pegro food products.

“Although both brands are introduced and developed by SADC, many people told me that it was a weird marketing combination because one was a food brand and the other, cosmetics.

“Now that we have reopened our flagship store selling only Forest Colour products, the Pegro products have been moved to a store of its own in Silibin,” he told journalists after the store’s recent opening ceremony at the hotel in Bandar Meru Raya, Ipoh.

To ensure the success of Forest Colour’s brand promotion, Ahmad Rizal said he is looking forward to working with more entrepreneurs to open licensed branch outlets throughout the country.

“This could provide more job opportunities and help entrepreneurs generate more income too,” he said.

Ahmad Rizal added that SADC is currently working on its goal of expanding its market internationally for Forest Colour.

“We aim to bring our products into the Middle East market, as we know that halal-certified cosmetic products are highly sought after there.

“We have also started marketing our brand in Brunei,” he said.

Present to open the store was Perak Association of State Assemblymen’s Wives chairman Datin Seri Saripah Zulkifli.

After the opening ceremony, visitors enjoyed free express manicure buffing and makeover sessions in front of the store.

Forest Colour products can also be found in Subang Avenue and the Aeon Wellness store, both in Shah Alam, Selangor.
