USA: Conference Explores $170 Billion American Muslim Consumer Market

The second annual American Muslim Consumer Conference, which took place in New Brunswick, New Jersey on October 30, 2010, was a resounding success for its parent organization – AmericanMuslimConsumer.com.

Key highlights of the conference included a speech by Miles Young, the CEO of Ogilvy Worldwide, one of the world’s largest marketing and advertising organizations. Mr. Young elaborated the huge role played by the Muslim consumers, who spend $170.00 billion in U.S.A. alone.

Another highlight of the conference was a speech by Magali Rheault, senior analyst of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, who provided revealing statistics that broke many stereotypes of the American Muslim community members.

Businesses as varied as Halal food producers and distributors; sharia compliant financing; media and public relations organizations; artists; sustainable environment advocates; young entrepreneurs and individuals from various professions participated in the conference.
