CAFTA open doors for more Malaysian products in China

The full implementation of the China-Asean Free Trade Area (CAFTA) from
Jan 1 this year will allow more products from this country to be
marketed in China. Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir said there would be zero tariff on 9,000 products.

At the World Secure Food Chain conference 2-4 December 2009, in Hong
Kong, Al Islami Foods
said that meat obtained from non-stunned animals is healthier and has a
longer shelf life.

And non-Halal and stunned meat is highly questionable, quoting a
research conducted by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research on
the same subject.
