Halal Expo 2008 has given their post show report with a statement that
more than USD 11 million worth of deals were closed during the event.
$5m of these deals were done by an Australian meat exporter and $4m by
a new ‘Halal’ champagne.

Dirs800m Worth of Halal Food Products Exported from Iran

Some dlrs 800 million worth of halal food products were exported
abroad from the Islamic Republic of Iran during March 2007-March 2008
period, an official said. Head of Iran’s Food Industries Union, Mohammad Hosseini, said
that over 150 companies are active in producing Halal food products
across the country. Hosseini also referred to the first International Halal Food Exhibition to be held in Tehran in February 2009.

billion in 2008, as the demand for beef meat and poultry continues to
