EU: Halal Quality Control (HQC) Information Day 2023 Overview

 

This event, organized by the Halal Business School and the Halal Quality Control Group Headquarters in The Netherlands, brought together 60 participants from the Food and Beverage Industry in Europe, the Halal Industry, and international governmental authorities. The event provided a platform for international speakers, including the Malaysian ambassador, the Singaporean Halal authorities, Supply Chain experts, and the Turkish Halal authorities, to share their experience and knowledge with the professional audience and emphasize the importance of the economics of the Halal industry towards the food and beverage industry. This delegation was comprised of representatives from the MUIS of Singapore, the HAK of Turkey, and Dr. Marco Tieman of LBB International.

The attendees, who were professionals from the Food and Beverage Industry mainly from The Netherlands, were introduced to the HQC Group, the Halal Business School, various international Halal standards, the timeline of the Halal certification industry, and the history and future of the Halal industry. They were also informed about HQC’s upcoming features, such as its YouTube channel and new IT functions on its e-portal.

During the training session, the attendees were trained on HQC’s Halal Assurance Program (HAP) Scheme, which is one of the five schemes used by HQC during its Halal Certification process. An exam was conducted with 16 questions covering 16 scenarios, based on the HAP Scheme. All attendees received a certificate from the Halal Business School.

The HQC ID 2023 was a successful event that provided valuable insights and training to the professionals from the Food and Beverage Industry. The event emphasized the importance of the economics of the Halal Industry and the role of Halal Certification in ensuring the quality and safety of Halal products. The HQC ID 2023 provided a platform for professionals to network and exchange ideas, and to learn about the latest developments and trends in the Halal Industry.

In conclusion, the 2nd edition of the Halal Quality Control Information Day (HQC ID 2023) in The Netherlands was a valuable event for professionals from the Food and Beverage Industry, the Halal Industry, and the governmental authorities in Europe. The event provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and for learning about the latest developments and trends in the Halal Industry.
