Great acceptance on the upcoming ExpoHalal Spain 2015

MADRID, Spain. The upcoming first Halal exhibition to be held in Spain is getting a great interest and raising high expectations for the Halal sector, announced its organizers this Wednesday. 

Expo HalalSpain“This first edition has raised great enthusiasm and will include the presence of companies with a long standing in the Spanish Halal sector, and also includes new products and producers”, points out María Salvador, Director of ExpoHalal Spain 2015. “In fact there are barely any free spaces left,” she added.

Visitors from more than 32 countries have already confirmed their participation in the event that will take place on October 21st and 22nd at IFEMA (Madrid Trade Fair Centre).

Three official delegations from Middle East will also visit the trade show, the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture, Jordan’s Food and Drug Authority and the Emirates Authority of Standardization and Metrology (ESMA). The delegation´s members will have B2B meetings with exhibitors and Spanish key agents, as well as participate in a conference programme.

On the exhibitors side, the Spanish meat industry will have a strong presence followed by other growing markets: “The high participation of companies that belong to the sweets and confectionery sector, gives us an idea of the wide variety of products and opportunities in the Halal markets,” reveals Carolina de Funes, General Manager of Ambar Connect, the organising company.

“The response from non Spanish producers has also been very positive, with the registration of well known Halal brands from France, Belgium, Morocco and even Malaysia,” highlights Mrs. Salvador.

ExpoHalal Spain 2015 is complemented by a conference programme, based on presentations and roundtables composed of highly qualified professionals from the Halal fields. Standardization, Halal markets, Muslim Tourism and brand management are some of the topics to be discussed.

ExpoHalal Spain 2015 to Bring Middle East to Europe

“This Halal exhibition was conceived as an International event that will bring buyers from all over the globe and highlight the potential of the Mediterranean food and touristic Halal industries,” points out María Salvador, Project Manager of ExpoHalal Spain 2015.

Three official delegations from Middle East have already confirmed their attendance, the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture, Jordan’s Foods and Drug Authority and the Emirates Authority of Standardization and Metrology (ESMA). They will have B2B meetings with exhibitors and Spanish institutions, as well as participate in the conferences program.

One of the top lectures will be guided by ESMA, to discuss the new standards for Halal in Europe with European Certification Agencies. Mr. Abdulla Abdelqadir Al Muaini, Director of Conformity Affaires Department, will be the speaker in charge of those topics.

Tourism will also have an important role in this first edition, especially thanks to the collaboration of Turespaña and Madrid Destino, Spain and Madrid Tourism Institutions, which support the event through a Fam-trip of Arab Tour-operators.
