India: Modest Fashion Talent Search Contest in India

ZYWARY FOUNDATION LAUNCHED FOR MODEST FASHION TALENT SEARCH CONTEST AT MUSLIM ARTS COLLEGE.

Zywary Foundation is a non-profit, micro-grant giving organization for encouraging, empowering, zywary_logo_Final_v01_orgenfranchising women entrepreneurs in establishing excellence in modest fashion.

Zywary Foundation is proud to announce its inaugural Modest Fashion Talent Search contest dedicated to young and upcoming women fashion designers in India for the Muslim fashion world. The Global Modest Fashion market is estimated to be US$230 Billion (11% total global market) and expected to grow to US$327 Billion (6% CAGR) by 2020, according to Thomson Reuters/Dinar standard.

‘To be human, we must always think about others who have less than us and how best can we spark their dreams into reality. All dreams need some financial help and a platform to sell their products. The DNA of Zywary Foundation is to give back, so we have established an on-going modest fashion contest, winners are given micro-grants, 10,000 and 8,000 and 5,000 Rupees to ‘dream, design and develop,’ said Rushdi Siddiqui, Chairman of Zywary Foundation.

He continued, ‘we want to encourage the exploration of ideas, trends, expand borders and boundaries in the modest fashion. In promoting a better understanding of modest fashion, we want creative women to showcase how they interpret Modest Fashion, from conservative to contemporary all within the bounds of modesty.’

Zywary Foundation was established in 2015 and is headquartered in Tamil Nadu. Its mandate is to encourage, empower, enfranchise women to ‘dream, design and develop’ their interpretation of Modest Fashion.
