The approval shows that Voya only uses the purest of ingredients in all of its products, which were tested for various impurities such as alcohol and animal fats (including pork substance).

The HMC halal team visited the Voya headquarters in Sligo, Ireland to put its products, workplace and harvesting practices through vigorous tests to ensure they were up to the high standards of the HMC.

Over the years there has been an increase in the number of people that have concerns about the ingredients in their skincare products and many individuals may be unaware that what they buy contains animal fats as most companies disguise the names of various ingredients.

Halal and organic certified products use alternatives to alcohol and animal fats which are heavily used within the skincare industry.

Mark Walton, founder of Voya said: “We have nothing to hide in our products; you will find only the purest and most natural ingredients the earth has to offer. Getting the HMC halal stamp of approval gives our customers the confidence and peace of mind that all of our products are safe for them to use, without any hidden nasties.”

Demand for Halal certification and concern about the quality and origin of ingredients in skincare products and spa treatments has seen a steady increase in the beauty industry in recent years. Chemicals in products, even ones that claim to be organic and natural can cause irritation to sensitive skin and remove its natural oils which can cause dehydration and dryness.

Now through this stamp of approval Voya’s partnering spas can further strengthen their position as attractive halal spa destinations with HMC approved treatments and products. – See more at: http://www.leisuremanagement.co.uk/detail.cfm?pagetype=detail&subject=product&codeID=308061#sthash.wn0vVusl.dpuf
