Malaysia: HDC Launches 13-episode “Halal World” Programme In NTV7

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 (Bernama) — The first episode of the “Halal World”, a new programme in the Halal industry, was launched on NTV7 Thursday.

An entertaining weekly programme, the episode was packed with industry information and knowledge updates on the Halal industry.

The half-an-hour 13-episode Halal World, produced by the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC), will be aired every Thursday at 7.30pm nationwide.

HDC chief executive officer Datuk Seri Jamil Bidin said Halal World’s intention was to capture the people’s attention, imagination and momentum by providing significant information on the industry.

“Information given in the series are presented in a business framework in tandem with the corporation’s current premise that “Halal Means Business”, he said in a statement.

Jamil said the episodes would address well-defined topics and issues in every programme which would feature several people from the various segments of the industry.

The topics include Halal eco-system, supply chain, certification process, HDC’s ubiquitous Halal Park, food and beverage sector, range of Halal ingredients and the non-food sector, he said.

Meanwhile, the guests are expected to discuss the latest updates on research findings, emerging technologies, trends, issues and challenges faced by the Halal industry players, he said.

The HDC would also leverage on the episodes with in-depth progress achieved locally and internationally, he added.
