150 graduates from 2013 intake completed the 6-month HEP, serve as Halal Executives in various sectors in the Halal industry.
Halal Industry Development Corporation’s (HDC) Halal Executive Program (HEP) witnessed the graduation of 150 students as Halal Executives, held at MATRADE Exhibition & Convention Centre (MECC) on Monday, 10 February 2014. KFCH International College, UNITI College, Metro Polytechnic and UiTM Kota Bharu are the four institutions offering this collaborative program for 2013 intake with support from Department of Polytechnic, Ministry of Education (MOE) and National Institute of Entrepreneurship (INSKEN).
HDC first started its HEP in 2010 aimed at strengthening the industry’s need for professional human capital development in the halal sector. The program’s first convocation held in 2011 witnessed the graduation of 70 students from the Polytechnics. For the 2nd convocation in 2012, the batches comprised of a total of 70 degree students from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) and from Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM).
