Bandar Seri Begawan – Two officers from the Halal Food Control Unit
in Changchun province, China, monitored 100 cattle being slaughtered at
the HaoYue Halal Meat Company.
The rest of the cattle herd will be slaughtered this week where the
processed meat will be packaged and delivered to the port of Dalian.
The processed meat will be packed in plastic bags and stored in a
freezer to be sent to Brunei by ship.
Awang Bahar bin Sairan and Awang Abdul Hamid bin Saman said, “If any
cattle is not slaughtered in accordance with Islam, the cattle will be
set aside with a tag and will be monitored to ensure that it is
separated from the rest.”
The officer of Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd, Awang Haji Hafiz bin Haji
Daud, said “We have successfully achieved our goal of working in
