Pakistan, UAE to ink MoU to facilitate halal exports

On Tuesday, ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan Hammad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi called on Federal Minister for Science and Technology Senator Syed Shibli Faraz in Islamabad.

According to details, various cooperation in the field of science and technology between the UAE and Pakistan was discussed. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Pakistan National Accreditation Council and the UAE Authority for Standardization and Metrology on halal exports will be signed soon.

An agreement was signed to export halal products from Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates.

He said that bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan are historic and are based on years of brotherhood and mutual trust, the UAE is an important country and Pakistan looks forward to further strengthening these ties, he added.

The UAE Minister of Industry and Development Technology invited the Federal Minister Shibli Faraz to attend the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020. The minister has been invited to address the 4th Session of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit.

Shibli Faraz ensured enthusiastic participation under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that it would be an honor to be a part of a prominent global platform.
