COLOMBO:
Global pizza restaurant chain Pizza Hut will offer delectable and sizzling items
made out of halal meat targetting the 1.8 million Muslim population in Sri
Lanka.

Pizza Hut has received
the halal certification for all its outlets in the island country from All
Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama (ACJU), the prominent Muslim body in the country.

“Presently we are no longer
serving pork related items or any non-halal products and we have shifted our
toppings suppliers to Norfolk Foods Ltd which is an ACJU Hallal certified
company,” a spokesman of Pizza Hut said.

The Dallas based popular chain
has over 16 outlets in Sri Lanka and is expanding.
