Catch Acclaimed Chefs in Action

Fine Food Live

Fine Food Live, a core component of SFFA, is an inspirational demo theatre intended for visitors to keep up to date with the latest culinary trends through chef demos and panel discussions. This year, the demo sessions will be centred around the themes of sustainability, provenance and seasonal flavours with Singapore’s traditional food and hawker heritage taking centre stage on the first day of Fine Food Live.

Panel sessions featuring prominent artisanal producers and local food champions such as Claire Ariela Shen of Cooking Art Industries, Nizam Iskandar and Aisha Hashim of Haig Road Putu Piring and Jeremy Nguee of Preparazzi and Batu Lesung will focus on the future, challenges and longevity of the industry. In a separate session, Industry Ambassador, Chef Edmund Toh, President, Disciples Escoffier International – Singapore Delegation and Vice President, Culinary, Iron Chef F&B Pte Ltd, will also take the stage to conduct a special demonstration on local heritage food. Visitors can also catch Chef Javed Ahamad from Punjab Grill in action at the show as he whips up a few of his signature dishes using the popular Impossible Foods’ plant-based products.

For the first time, SFFA and RPB Asia will also work with World Gourmet Summit (WGS) – the region’s premier haute cuisine festival – to curate two days of interactive programming on 18 and 19 July. This sets the stage for prominent local chefs to bring their A-game through interactive guest chef demos in an exciting WGS Gastronomic Adventure around the world.
