3-day visit is aimed at expanding cooperation
Abu Dhabi: Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, on Sunday will lead a delegation on an official visit to Macedonia and Kosovo as part of efforts to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation with the two friendly countries.
Al Mansouri, in a statement, said the 3-day visit is aimed at expanding cooperation between the UAE and the two counties, looking into the investment opportunities, and encouraging the private sector and the business community to initiate joint projects to enhance economic growth in the three countries.
Sectors such as agriculture and food industries in particular, are targeted by the UAE as it seeks to strengthen food security, according to the minister.
The forthcoming visit to Macedonia and Kosovo is part of the UAE foreign policy which aims to explore opportunities for establishing successful economic partnerships and projects, he noted.
It will provide an opportunity to showcase the UAE’s favourable and attractive investment environment.
The talks in Macedonia and Kosovo will focus on ways to increase trade exchange with the UAE.
Al Mansouri emphasised that the UAE could successfully overcome the consequences of the global financial crisis and its national economy remains solid and continues to grow at reasonable rates with ongoing projects in all sectors. This contributed to further promote the image of the UAE as a regional and global safe haven for investments, he remarked.
Members of the UAE economic delegation include senior officials from the Ministry of Economy, Dubai Airports, S.S. Lootah Group, Agriculture and others.
