UK: Top firms to showcase at UK’s first Muslim Lifestyle Expo

Muslim Lifestyle ExpoBusinesses from across the world specialising in a range of sectors are set to attend the UK’s first-ever international exhibition on Muslim lifestyle.

Over 60 companies from countries including Malaysia, Norway, Turkey and South Africa have signed up to exhibit at The Muslim Lifestyle Expo 2015 which will take place on August 1 and 2 at the Ricoh Arena.

Around 10,000 visitors from across the UK are expected at the expo, which will bring together a number of sectors such as fashion, food and drink, travel and finance under one platform in the biggest ever showcase of its kind.

The Muslim consumer lifestyle market is one of the fastest growing sectors globally with a recent report estimating the global expenditure on food and lifestyle sectors at £1.36 trillion ($2.1 trillion).

Tahir Mirza, founder of the Expo, said they expected around 70 exhibitors to attend the family event.

“We have been delighted with the response so far in what is now gearing up to be one of the major cultural events of the year. It is going to be an exciting showcase to promote the positive and vibrant aspects of British Muslims to the world,” he said.

“Our aim is to showcase the value of the Muslim lifestyle sector in a fun and enjoyable way and is an inclusive event for all and welcomes people from all faiths and backgrounds,” said Mirza.

“The range of countries who are attending also goes to highlight how the UK is now a key international market to tap into.”

The exhibitors who have signed up include international super brand Tesla Motors, Moslema in Style from Malaysia, Nasim’s Baby Food from Norway and Aegean Dream Homes of Turkey.

UK companies include Alchemiya, ieat Foods, international fashion blogger Pearl Daisy, Aisha Halal Baby Food, Al Murad, Brunei Halal, Merlyn Wealth Management and The Dressmaker.

The event will also feature a live fashion show directed by creative director, Zaf Shabbir, besides a host dedicated seminars covering subjects like travel, halal lifestyle and Islamic finance.

It will also include a networking event with speeches by entrepreneurs and business experts to equip delegates with market intelligence, industry forecasts and trends to understand how to market to the Muslim consumer. – TradeArabia News Service
