The fifth annual Urban Muslim Woman Show takes place Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the prestigious London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.
This year’s chief guest speaker will be Rabia Z., president and creative director of Rabia Z., the highly influential modest fashion brand based in Dubai.
Each year, the Urban Muslim Woman Show, designed to inspire, connect and empower Muslim women, attracts more than 500 attendees from across the UK and throughout Europe. Attendees include a diverse group, including entrepreneurs, professionals and homemakers in a wide variety of fields, as well as media representatives and influential fashion bloggers. The high-profile, glamorous event includes a panel of inspirational speakers, fashion shows, entertainment, networking opportunities, a three-course dinner, exhibitors and exciting product launches from Muslim female entrepreneurs.
One of the most anticipated aspect of the annual Urban Muslim Woman Show is its fashion shows, which showcase the creative work of Muslim designers from the UK and across the globe. The fashion shows not only help designers connect with their specific, niche audience, but they also help promote the message that fashion can be simultaneously bold, confident, stylish and modest.
Besides offering networking opportunities and promoting Muslim fashion trends and designs, the Urban Muslim Woman Show strives to promote emerging talent and successful Muslim female entrepreneurs, provide an opportunity for investors and businesses to support a vibrant and highly motivated community, encourage women to become empowered and successful, identify the critical issues Muslim women feel need to be addressed, and eliminate the concept of Muslim women being suppressed, oppressed and deprived of their rights.
Last year’s chief guest speaker ‘HRH Princess Basmah bint Saud’ said “The Urban Muslim Woman Show allowed me to meet so many talented women from different walks of UK life. These are brave and committed women who are making their voices heard in the fields of human rights, women’s rights and gender equality. Women continually prove themselves to be capable of taking on greater responsibility and achieving success independently in our new and modern world.”
