KARACHI: Canadian High Commissioner held a meeting with chief
executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP)
on Friday and discussed potential for investment in processed
food and mining.
Speaking on the occasion, Canadian High Commissioner, Randolph
B Mank said that Pakistan should attract reputable international
companies in food processing and mining.
He assured his cooperation and support to TDAP in its future
ventures.
TDAP chief executive Syed Mohibullah Shah pointed out that
Pakistan has abundant raw material for food processing and
needs investment to increase its share in world market.
He said that Pakistan was trying to increase its export share
in world’s halal food market of $ 150 billion. However,
we cannot enhance our exports without making investment and
technology applications to add value, he observed.
Honorary Consul General of Canada, Behram Avari, TDAP Secretary,
Naved Arif, and DG, TDAP, Nasir Abbass were also present on
the occasion. |
