Vientiane,
Laos: Halal restaurant owners in Vientiane are seeing an increase in
profits since the SEA Games kicked off, because of business from Muslim
athletes and officials from several Asian countries participating in
the Games.

Khamdeng, a restaurant employee, said the restaurant he worked in,
which was established by a Muslim Indian in 1990, received twice as
many visitors as usual.

“Everyday we have up to 150 diners, but during the Games we have up to 400,” Khamdeng told Antara on Saturday. -JP
