Petaling Jaya, Selangor – 24 December 2024 – The Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC), a central agency in advancing Malaysia’s Halal ecosystem, is proud to announce the signing of an Engagement Agreement with Pasar Venture Sdn Bhd (Pasar Venture), a fintech-enabled supply chain management platform. This collaboration marks a transformative move aimed at driving innovation within the Halal industry.

The Engagement Agreement was formalized recently by the Chief Executive Officer of HDC Hairol Ariffein Sahari, and Mr. Ra Wha Hyun, CEO of Pasar Venture Sdn Bhd. The signing ceremony was witnessed by HDC’s Chairman, Khairul Azwan Harun, and Datin Lim Ai Ling, Executive Director of Pasar Venture.

HDC is taking a proactive step by collaborating with Pasar Venture to deliver innovative solutions to the Halal industry, particularly benefiting restaurant operators and suppliers of Halal ingredients. This partnership will introduce Pasar’s advanced tools and resources to these critical sectors, empowering them to thrive in the digital landscape.

As part of this strategic partnership, Pasar.ai will be integrated into HDC’s Halal Integrated Platform (HIP), establishing vital connections between stakeholders and manufacturers in the Halal sector, as well as certified Halal operators in Malaysia. This integration is designed to enhance operational efficiency and connectivity, enabling seamless digital management functions for Halal operators.

Chairman of HDC, Azwan emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Aligning with Strategic Thrust 2 of the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030, this collaboration creates new market opportunities for Malaysia’s Halal products and services.
