Leading exhibitors, speakers and delegates from over 35 countries will be participating at the OIC International Business Centre’s 9th Muslim World Business and Investment Zone annual trade exhibition and conference, to be held next month in Malaysia.
The event will take place from September 4 to 6, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Organised in collaboration with the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) in Morroco, a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia, together with the Association of Muslim World Business Malaysia, the 9th Muslim World Biz will be introducing new activities and involving more participants.
The profile of participants includes business owners, CEOs, entrepreneurs, government officials, economists, academicians and community leaders, said a statement.
The 9th Muslim World Biz will consist of three components the exhibition zone, the conference zone and the prestigious award ceremonies categorised as follows:
1. International, multi-sectoral trade exhibition – September 4 to 6;
2. The Round Table Talk – September 4 and 5;
3. The Muslim World Women’s Summit – September 5 and 6;
4. The OIC Arab-Asia Trade and Economic Forum – September 4;
5. Jewels of the Muslim World Award – September 5;
6. The Muslim World Rania Award – September 6.
Muhammad Raja Talib Bin Dato’ Dr Raja Mohamad Abdullah, chairman of the event, said: “We have been working with our international partners to identify the needs within the global Islamic economy, and then formulate workable strategies to fulfil those needs adequately.”
At the exhibition zone, the organisers expect 15,000 trade and public visitors to explore the various products and services offered at 500 booths by more 300 companies representing various industries worldwide.
Long-term partnership agreements are expected to take place during the pre-arranged business matching sessions. At the conference zone, 1000 renowned speakers and enthusiastic delegates deliberate various compelling issues.
The distinct glamour of the entire event is the award ceremonies. The Jewels of the Muslim World Award will be presented during the official launch, with 1,200 VIPs and invited guests witnessing the honouring of a group of the movers and shakers of the Islamic economy.
The Muslim World Rania Award will be presented in a special ceremony to some of the most outstanding women in the Muslim world.
The outcomes of the Muslim World Biz have been overwhelming and progressive in a way that is reflected in the expansion of the event itself, and also in the increasing participation of individuals and organisations from across the globe, beyond the 57 OIC member countries. – TradeArabia News Service
