The “halal certified product” industry, which has reached two trillion dollars market share worldwide, will meet at CNR EXPO Istanbul on September 4, 2014.
A significant number of buyers from approximately 30 countries including Germany, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran and France primarily will come to Istanbul Halal Expo Fair.
Istanbul Halal Expo – 6th Halal and Health Products Fair, where a wide range of products varying from halal food and beverages to cosmetics, from medical products to veiled clothing and pilgrimage supplies, will be exhibited, will be organized at CNR EXPO Istanbul on September 4-7, 2014. With a population around 2 billion worldwide, the fair is organized to address the “Halal” and “Sanitary” product demands of the Muslim population, and it is expected to provide opportunities both for exporter and manufacturer companies. The organization, which will take place in ten thousand square meters, will have five thousand different types of halal certified products.
Halal industry is growing in Turkey
Halal certified product industry, which has reached 2 trillion dollars market size worldwide, is rapidly expanding in Turkey as well. Istanbul Halal Expo Fair, which will be organized in order to increase the export levels of halal certified product industry will take place with the collaboration of Pozitif Fuarc?l?k and CNR Expo Fuarc?l?k organization and with the support provided by Food and Supplies Monitoring and Certification Research Association (GIMDES), World Halal Council (WHC) and KOSGEB. As the only fair of the industry, the organizers are expecting the attendance of 200 firms to Istanbul Halal Expo this year. The fair, which will have leading firms of the industry such as Chr Hansen, Erpiliç, Elita Oil, Felda Iffco, Has Chicken, South Marmara Development Agency, Kaanlar Cheese, Seyido?lu, Sultan Meat as participants, is expecting 40 thousand visitors this year.
International buyers from 30 countries
Several companies that operate in the fields of food, beverages, cosmetics, cleaning materials and Islamic fashion coming from Malaysia, Iran, Indonesia, Netherlands, China, South Korea, Thailand, France, Germany and Saudi Arabia, will be opening stands at the fair. Significant number of buyers coming from almost 30 countries, primarily Germany, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, China, Japan and France, will attend Istanbul Halal Expo Fair.
GMO products will be discussed at the conference
Within the scope of the fair, the 7th International Halal and Sanitary Products Conference will be held. During the conference, awareness will be raised in relation to the consumption of halal certified products among consumers and Turkish and international academicians, public representatives, consumer organizations and food industry professionals along with the representatives of civil society organizations will find an opportunity to meet.
This year during the conference, which attracts significant attention of domestic and international companies, each year when it is organized, issues including “challenges in industrial applications prior to and after the slaughter in Halal meat production”, “utilization of additives used in food, cosmetics and medications within Halal certified production”, and “the impact of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) on health, can GMO products have Halal certification” will be tackled.
