Azerbaijan will host first Halal Business and Tourism Forum

The Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum (AZHAB Forum) will be held for the first time in Baku on October 8-9, 2024.

The forum is organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOB?A) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and supported by the “Caspian Event Organisers LLC”, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the International Association of Islamic Business, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).

The two-day event aims to foster new cooperation in investment and trade, encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences in the halal industry, and promote the attraction of foreign investments to Azerbaijan.

The forum is comprised of two parts: a conference and an exhibition. The conference will cover development prospects in the halal sectors such as food, tourism, and finance, along with discussions on standardization issues. It will also feature panel discussions for participants to share experiences. The exhibition will display products and services from companies in Azerbaijan and abroad.

The event will bring together officials, experts, academics, international organizations, and business representatives from around 20 countries worldwide.
