Brunei – Abattoir celebrates a year of operations

MULAUT Abattoir Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Royal Brunei Airlines, marked
the first anniversary of importing beef from Haoyue Halal Meat Company
Limited, Jilin ChangChun Province, People’s Republic of China, a
thanksgiving prayer and Hari Raya gathering recently.
The three-in-one event took place at the Palm Garden Café, Kiulap.
The
event began with the recitation of surah al-Fatihah and thanksgiving
prayer by Haji Hafiz bin Haji Muhammad Daud, Operations Manager of
Mulaut Abattoir.
The guest of honour was Madam Tong Xiaoling, the
Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, Zhang
Yan, Xie Huanzhou, Guo Enling and Li Peng.

Yussof, the Acting General Manager of Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd welcomed
the guest of honour and the officers from the embassy.

Abattoir Sdn Bhd, the guests were Haji Alidi bin Haji Mahmud, Head of
Energy, Prime Minister’s Office, who was the former Acting General
Manager who first initiated the Mulaut Abattoir and Haoyue Halal Beef
project; Haji Hanafiah Jikeria; and Haji Alidi bin Haji Mahmud. Also
present were prominent businessmen from well-established companies.
Mulaut
Abattoir Sdn Bhd imported a total of B$4.6million worth of Halal beef
between May 2008 and October 2009, said Ishak bin Haji Muhammad Yussof.
The
three-in-one gathering was aimed at fostering better business ties and
continuing to strengthen collaborations between the Embassy of the
People’s Republic of China, Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd and local
businesses.
