Jakarta: Food and Hotel Indonesia will return 6-9 April at the Jakarta Exhibition Centre, Kemayoran. The 2011 event, the 11th in the series is the largest to date occupying five halls at the exhibition venue.
The exhibition will cover an area of 14,000sqm and has attracted over 600 companies from 39 countries, an eighty percent increase of floor space compared to the exhibition in 2009.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response this year, both from companies in Indonesia and Internationally this will definitely be the largest food and hotel exhibition Indonesia has ever seen” said Wiwiek Roberto, Senior Project Manager, Pamerindo Indonesia the organisers of Food and Hotel Indonesia.
Companies from all sectors of the food, hotel and hospitality sector will be showcasing their products and services as the Indonesian Tourism and Hospitality sector continues to expand, with an ever increasing number of new bars and restaurants opening and hotels with strong occupancy rates.
Major market leaders including Unilever, Nestle, Narumi, Sukanda Djaya, Nirwana Lestari, Prambanan Kencana, Indogana Utama, Nayati, Gastro Gizi Sarana, Kartika Wira, Karunia Sukses Gemilang will participate alongside National Pavilions from Australia, Germany, Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey and the USA.
As with previous years the Association of Culinary Professionals a member of the World Association of Chefs (WACS) will be organizing the 8th Salon Culinaire in association with Food and Hotel Indonesia. Competitions will be held for the national selection for the Asian Pastry Cup, with a chance to qualify for the Pastry World Championship in France. Another highlight will be the Junior Chef Asian Challenge where teams of junior chefs from neighboring countries will come to Jakarta to compete in a hot cooking competition.
In addition the Indonesian Barista Association will be hosting the 4th Indonesian Barista Competition to showcase the quality of Indonesia’s growing number of Barista’s.
A number of high level seminars and conferences will be held in conjunction with the exhibition including the World Halal Forum Industry Dialogue- Indonesia on the 9th April 2011, following the annual World Halal Forum in Kuala Lumpur being held on the 4-5 April.
