Malaysia: Brahim’s Airline Hopes To Become In-flight Caterer For Malindo Air By Next Year

malaysia-flagPUTRAJAYA, Sept 27 (Bernama) — Brahim’s Airline Catering Sdn Bhd aims to become the in-flight caterer for Malindo Air once the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) is ready next year, says Chief Executive Officer Ainul Hasnizam Abu Hassan.

He said Brahim’s Airline Catering was confident it would be able to supply meals for the airline given its 30 years experience in the catering industry.

“We are still in talks with them and stand a good chance of securing the contract,” he told reporters after a presentation of halal Japanese meals prepared by Brahim’s Airline Catering for Malaysia Airlines.

Ainul said the company was currently catering for AirAsia X’s 14 daily flights.

“With this business model, I think we can offer Malindo a good deal.

“Brahim’s Airlines Catering has enough capacity to cater for Malindo’s requirement as our kitchen can serve about 55,000 meals per day. We are now serving 50,000 meals daily, so we have excess capacity,” he added.

On its halal Japanese dishes, he said the meals would be served on board MAS‘ flights from Kuala Lumpur to Narita and Osaka in the second half of next year.

“Now halal is the key word and very important subject for us especially when demand for halal food is growing.

“We hope via the expertise that we have, we can go global,” he added.
