Malaysia’s JAKIM take back Halal certification form HDC

In line with the recent announcement made by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Y.B. Senator Mejar Jeneral Dato’ Jamil Khir bin Baharom(R) on 9th July 2009 with respect to the transfer of Halal certification responsibility from HDC to JAKIM, please be informed that any related activities including but not limited to application, payment and any other matters related to Halal certification will be suspended with effect from 24 July 2009. This is to facilitate the handover process from HDC to JAKIM. Certification operations will resume as usual with effect from 1 August 2009 under JAKIM’s administration. Any inconvenience caused is highly regretted.
