FOREST Colour, a halal-certified Malaysian beauty brand, has launched its inaugural collection.

ForestSecret Malaysia chief executive officer Intan Hyriatee Mohd Zawai said the brand utilised herbs from the rich biodiversity of the Malaysian rainforest.

Imported materials are also used while the items are produced locally, she added.

Intan Hyriatee said Forest Colour was the first to introduce a full range of aloe vera-based cosmetic series which offers natural anti-ageing benefits for younger looking skin.

“Women are concerned about their health and beauty as well as the purity of the products they use,” she said, adding that Forest Colour was for contemporary women who were looking for innovative, natural and halal skin and beauty products.

The brand, which targeted Malaysia’s middle-income market, has a variety of products including lip gloss, lip liner, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, powder foundation, and BB creams, among others.

The inaugural line also featured four eau de parfum in exclusive jewel-inspired fragrances.

Forest Colour is a signature brand by ForestSecret, which is owned by the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (SADC) since 2012 and retails the brand and products in Indonesia in more than 400 pharmacies and retail outlets.

Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim signed a plaque to officiate at the launch ceremony while guests were treated to a Forest Colour cosmetic showcase.

Perak SADC chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Rizal Abdul Rahman said the launch of Forest Colour was a triumph for Perak and Malaysia.

“With this launch, the Perak SADC will expand its product offerings in cosmetics and toiletries industries not only in Indonesia but also in Malaysia. This venture will promote our herbs and build our brand presence at the global market,” he said.

ForestSecret has won several awards including the BrandLaureate Award from 2007 to 2009 in the Body and Skincare category and the Asean Retail Chain and Franchise Award in 2010 in cosmetics and toiletries.

Forest Colour currently retails online at www.forestcolour.com while the products are expected to hit retail stores next year.
