ISTANBUL: The 8th edition of OIC Halal Expo 2021 took place from the 25th to 28th of November 2021 in Istanbul Congress Centre, Turkey. Malaysia Showcase is a platform to showcase and launch latest halal innovations, renewable energy and sustainable products to the OIC countries. Malaysia Showcase was pleased to participate to this event (booth 1C-300) and presented 27 physical exhibitors and 17 virtual exhibitors, all from Malaysian local companies.
The event was hosted physically for four (4) days as well as virtually first time to provide platform to entrepreneurs and business owners to participate even from other part of the world. The event consisted of exhibitions, showcases and business matchings which catered up to 50 exhibitors, 35,000 visitors and delegates from about 20 countries. The Malaysia Showcase Pavilion were known to be the biggest pavilion in the OIC Halal Expo with size of 214sq/m consists with 4sq/m booths.
This Malaysia Showcase 2021 was organised by My Events International. The event was also supported by Malaysia Exporters Association (MEXPA), ASEAN Chamber of Commerce & Industry Malaysia and Aladdin1. The showcase was in collaboration with MATRADE and SME Corporation Malaysia. Not to forget to our Official Airline Partner, Turkish Airline and Halal Development Corporation Berhad as our Strategic Partner. Finally, and most importantly, the Media Partners @Halal, HalalFocus and H Media. It was officiated by H.E Sazali Mustafa Kamal, the Malaysia Ambassador in Turkey. The Malaysia Showcase is representing an approach to promote expansion of Malaysia halal economics in the world markets.
The event features a new element of Teh Tarik Session, a relaxing session focuses on the sustainability of halal eco-system update over freshly-made Teh Tarik! The session mainly is to get an enlightening roundtable conversation with people from different backgrounds as well as subject-matter experts. With business matching activities being organised, it is believed the entrepreneurs will accomplish partnerships and collaborations during this event.
On the last day of the 8th OIC Halal Expo 2021, Malaysia Showcase Pavilion witnessed few MoU Signing between My Events International & Discover Events, Waham Sdn Bhd & Medicare Global, Asuv Technology & Kreteg and Ezee Food & Deniz Feneri Dernegi
The virtual showcase platform comprises three major components — a virtual exhibition, business matching and The Tarik session as the knowledge hub. The virtual platform has extended until the 15th of December 2021.
Business matching sessions were also being held during the showcase with many exhibitors from other countries coming into the Malaysia Showcase. The aim is to establish business networking among the halal market and economy.
