Turkey plans Halal trade expo in August

Halal Products Fair to be held in Turkey’s Istanbul

One of the fastest growing industries, Halal products fair, will meet with the Turkish consumers in ?stanbul.

– Halal Products Trade Fair will be held at Istanbul Exhibiton Center
between August 13th and 16th. It is expected that hundreds of companies
from around the world will join Halalistexpo and 3 billion dollars
worth of trade is targeted.

Halalistexpo will provide to its
participants and guests increasing their exports, finding new potential
markets abroad and accessing to the consumers who prefer to use halal
products. It will be first and unique fair of halal products in
Eurasia.

It is expected that nearly 150 companies would
pariticapte to the fair among whom there are companies from Singapore,
Malaysia, Iran, China, Australia and the United States. The sectors
will vary from food to cosmetics, from textile to tourism to financial
products.

The organizator of the fair, Atilim Exhibition Co.
Director Salim Sahin said that there were 1,8 billion Muslims in the
world and halal industry had reached a total of 2,1 trillion dollars of
trade volume.

Sahin said, “Despite the world crisis, we
encounter a great deal of interest since the target is the closed
markets. Although we did not make a presentation domestically, many
companies contacted us through partners and in fairs abroad to
participate Halalistexpo.”

He added that Turkey’s exclusion from halal industry would be meaningless.
