REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – West Java Province, Indonesia, is ready to host the biggest halal conference in Southeast Asia in 2014. The steering commitee is now preparing the event.
“According to plan, the location will be in two places, Sabuga and Gasibu,” the Head of Economy and Halal Product in West Java MUI, Mustofa Djamaludin, said on Friday.
Not only holding the conference, the committee also plans to make West Java as Halal Province. “Our target is that West Java can be Halal Province in 2014,” Djamaludin said.
MUI urges every region and city in West Java to reach the target as Halal Province. Djamaludin said three regions in West Java had become Halal City, namely Indramayu, Bogor, and Depok.
