Malaysia: MIHAS 2020 Postponed to 1-4 September from original date 1-4 April

MIHAS 2020 has been postponed from the 1-4 April 2020 to the 1-4 September 2020 due to the unforeseen implications being cause by the COVID-19 outbreak. They are doing this to safeguard the wellbeing of their sponsors, exhibitors and visitors and will do all they can to provide the support they require because of this change in dates.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

MIHAS 2020 is postponed to 1 – 4 September 2020 from its original date of 1 – 4 April.

This difficult decision was reached after extensive consultation with industry on the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak on travel all across Asia Pacific, and the overall impact it would have on the event. At MIHAS, we take safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our sponsors, exhibitors and visitors as top priority, as well as providing an optimum environment to conduct business.

Our focus now is to provide our exhibitors, conference producers, media partners and registered visitors with the support they require as a result of this decision.

The health situation is being managed by the Ministry of Health, National Disaster Management Agency and various other ministries and agencies under a committee chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. We will continue to work in partnership with all relevant government authorities and agencies and take the necessary measures in accordance to the latest advisories published by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

MIHAS has built a global reputation over the past 17 years and serves halal businesses from nearly 90 countries. We appreciate your commitment and the commitment of our international buyers who had looked forward to attend the show in April and we hope to have your continued support for the new date.

11th Recognized Halal Certification Bodies Convention 2020

Due to the official postponement announcement of MIHAS 2020, The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) have also announced the 11th Recognized Halal Certification Bodies Convention 2020 is postponed to 1-2 September 2020 from its original date 30-31 March 2020.
